The washer will typically attempt to resolve the suds condition on its own by running additional water and pause sequences before resuming normal operation.

The primary cause of the Sd code is the use of too much detergent or the use of a standard detergent in a machine that requires High Efficiency (HE) detergent. HE washers use significantly less water than traditional top-loaders, meaning they require low-sudsing HE-formulated detergents.
