Diagnosis begins by testing the thermistor's resistance with a multimeter and comparing it to a temperature-resistance chart.

Error code 31 specifically affects the Perfect Temperature Drawer zone, meaning the temperature in that compartment may not be properly regulated. Food stored in the drawer could be at risk if the zone is not maintaining the correct temperature. The main refrigerator and freezer sections may continue to function, but it is advisable to address the fault promptly and avoid relying on the drawer for temperature-sensitive items until the repair is complete.
