Error code 32 indicates that the NTC thermistor assigned to the freezer zone of the Perfect Temperature Drawer has been detected in a shorted condition. The control board reads an abnormally low resistance value from this sensor, meaning it cannot obtain a valid temperature reading for that compartment. The issue may be in the thermistor itself, the wiring harness, or the connector.

With error code 32 active, the Perfect Temperature Drawer may not regulate its temperature correctly, which puts any food stored in that compartment at risk. The main refrigerator and freezer compartments may continue to operate, but you should avoid relying on the PTD for temperature-sensitive items until the fault is resolved.

A power reset may temporarily clear the error code from the display, but the code will return if the underlying short circuit condition in the PTD thermistor circuit has not been corrected. Resetting without repairing the fault is not a solution and can delay diagnosis while leaving food in the drawer at risk. The thermistor and wiring must be tested and repaired or replaced to permanently resolve the error.
