Oven cavity thermistor open

Oven cavity thermistor open — if during Oven/Bake or Speedcook, the thermistor does not read 165°F or greater after 20 minutes of operation, F1 is displayed and operation terminates.

From Service Manual 766408, p.20:

1.Check thermistor resistance at connector CN6 on main PCB; a large cold load may cause a false F1 by preventing the thermistor from reaching 165°F within 20 minutes.

2.Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at the sensor body. Expected: 10 kΩ to 12 kΩ at 77°F (25°C).

3.Check the sensor harness for opens and shorts. Back-probe the sensor pins at the control board connector; a reading outside 5 kΩ to 50 kΩ indicates a failed sensor.
