Humidity sensor open or shorted — can also be triggered by electrical surge or excessive line noise.
First step from the service manual
Remove power to unit for 1 minute to reset; if recurring, test humidity sensor resistance at CN5 (BLK-RED = 6.2K ohms, RED-WHT = 3.1K ohms, BLK-WHT = 3.1K ohms). Replacing the sensor will not fix an electrical noise issue.
