The bE code on an LG dishwasher indicates a button or key input error. It is triggered when the control system detects that a button has been continuously pressed for 30 seconds or longer. This can result from a physically stuck key, moisture on the control board or connectors, or a faulty Touch Module. The code does not display during an active wash cycle and will typically appear when the machine is idle.

A reset may temporarily clear the bE code, but if the underlying cause is not addressed, the error will return. To reset, power off the dishwasher at the circuit breaker or unplug it for a few minutes, then restore power. If the fault condition, such as moisture or a stuck button, is still present, the code will reappear.
