On the LG DLE3777W and DLG3788W, F1 is a code displayed during the built-in diagnostic test at option steps 18 and 19. It is part of the self-test sequence and is expected to appear at those specific points in the routine. If F1 shows up during normal operation outside of diagnostic mode, it may indicate a control board or display circuit issue worth investigating.

If F1 appears only during a diagnostic test cycle, it is expected and the dryer is safe to use normally afterward.
