LG Heat Pump Error Code E107

E107 indicates that both the evaporator inlet and evaporator outlet temperature sensors on the indoor unit have simultaneously lost contact or disconnected. The system detects that neither sensor is providing a valid signal at the same time, which triggers the fault. This most commonly means the sensor probes have physically come out of their mounting clips in the indoor coil rather than an electronic failure.

The system will typically shut down or restrict operation when E107 is active because it cannot monitor coil temperatures properly. Running the unit without functional coil sensors risks coil freeze-up or operating outside safe temperature parameters. It is best to resolve the fault before resuming normal operation.

If the repair is simply reseating the sensor probes and reconnecting harness plugs, the cost is primarily a service call fee, typically ranging from $75 to $150 depending on your area. If a damaged wiring harness or replacement sensors are needed, parts and labor combined could range from $150 to $350. A control board replacement, if required, would be the most expensive scenario, potentially ranging from $300 to $600 or more.

Start by powering down the unit and accessing the indoor air handler. Locate both the EVAP IN and EVAP OUT sensor probes and verify they are seated firmly in their retaining clips within the coil. Reconnect any loose wiring harness connectors and restore power to see if the error clears. If the fault returns, inspect the sensor wiring for damage and check all connector points back to the control board.

A power reset may temporarily clear the fault display, but E107 will return if the underlying sensor disconnection is not corrected. The sensors must be physically reseated in their clips and all harness connections secured before a reset will result in a lasting fix. Resetting without addressing the root cause is not a permanent solution.
