The system detects the configuration mismatch during its communication polling cycle and logs the error. It is a configuration issue, not a component failure, and requires correcting the DIP switch setting rather than replacing any parts.

E210 is a configuration error and does not represent a safety hazard. It indicates a mismatch between the system's expected setup and the actual installation, which can prevent full operation or cause the system to behave unexpectedly. Addressing it promptly ensures the controller manages only the branches that are truly active.

If the issue is purely a DIP switch misconfiguration, the cost is typically limited to a service call fee for a technician to identify and correct the switch setting, generally in the range of $75 to $200 depending on your location and provider. No replacement parts are needed in most cases.
