E276 indicates a low pressure sensor open or short circuit fault on an LG heat pump. The control board detected a sensor signal voltage below 0.4V (short) or above 4.7V (open) at the moment the compressor was preparing to start. This fault prevents the compressor from operating until the sensor circuit is restored to a normal operating voltage range. The issue is typically caused by a wiring fault or a failed sensor.

A power reset may temporarily clear the E276 fault, but it will return if the underlying wiring or sensor problem has not been resolved. Because the fault is detected each time the compressor attempts to start, the error will reappear on the next startup cycle if the root cause remains. A reset is only useful as a test step after completing repairs, not as a fix on its own.

Repair costs vary depending on the root cause. If the issue is a loose connector or minor wiring repair, costs may be limited to a service call fee, typically in the range of $75 to $150.
