E292 indicates a low pressure sensor error, either a SHORT or OPEN circuit condition in the sensor signal circuit. A SHORT is identified when the sensor voltage drops below 0.4V, and an OPEN is identified when it rises above 4.7V. The fault is detected when the compressor is preparing to operate, and it prevents the compressor from starting until the issue is resolved. The root cause is typically a wiring fault, failed connector, or a defective low pressure sensor.

The unit will not allow the compressor to start while E292 is active, which is a built-in protection measure. Operating the system in this state is not recommended, as the underlying fault means the control board cannot confirm safe refrigerant pressure conditions. Have the issue diagnosed and repaired before resuming normal operation.

A power reset may temporarily clear the error code, but if the underlying fault in the low pressure sensor circuit is still present, the E292 code will return as soon as the compressor attempts to operate again.
