LG Heat Pump Error Code E316

E316 indicates a low pressure sensor OPEN or SHORT error on your LG heat pump. The system detected this fault at the moment the compressor was preparing to operate. Specifically, a SHORT is flagged when the sensor voltage drops below 0.4V, and an OPEN is flagged when it rises above 4.7V. The system prevents the compressor from starting until the fault is resolved.

The unit will not allow the compressor to run while E316 is active, which is actually a protective measure. Attempting to bypass or ignore this error is not recommended, as the low pressure sensor exists to protect the compressor from damage. You should have the system inspected and repaired before returning it to normal operation.
