LG Heat Pump Error Code E332

E332 indicates a low pressure sensor OPEN or SHORT error. The system detected that the sensor signal voltage was either below 0.4V (SHORT) or above 4.7V (OPEN) at the moment the compressor was preparing to start. The unit locks out to prevent compressor damage, and the fault usually points to a wiring, connector, or sensor problem.

The unit will generally prevent itself from running when E332 is active, which is the intended protective behavior. You should not attempt to bypass this lockout, as operating the compressor without verified low-side pressure monitoring can result in compressor damage. Leave the unit off until the fault is diagnosed and resolved.

If the issue is a loose or corroded connector, the repair may cost only a service call fee, typically in the range of $75 to $150. If the low pressure sensor needs replacement, parts and labor combined generally run between $150 and $350 depending on the model and local labor rates. A control board replacement, if needed, would be a higher cost repair in the range of $300 to $600 or more.

A knowledgeable DIYer can start by checking the low pressure sensor wiring and connector for loose connections, damaged insulation, or corrosion. If the wiring appears intact, measuring the sensor output voltage requires a multimeter and some familiarity with reading wiring diagrams. Refrigerant system work, however, requires EPA 608 certification and should be left to a licensed technician.

A power reset may temporarily clear the error code, but if the underlying cause such as a faulty sensor, broken wire, or bad connector is still present, the fault will return when the compressor next attempts to start. Resetting without repairing the root cause does not fix the problem and can delay proper diagnosis.
