The EAF code reflects a control board processor fault rather than a mechanical or heating hazard. However, operating the dryer with a repeatedly malfunctioning control board is not recommended, as unpredictable behavior could result from uncontrolled resets during a cycle. Clear the code first and observe whether the dryer completes a full cycle without the error returning before continuing regular use.

If the issue is a one-time power fluctuation, there is no repair cost involved since simply clearing the code resolves it.
