Err 003 indicates a loop wire disconnect in the door microswitch plug at the control board. The oven uses a continuous loop wire circuit through the door microswitch to confirm door position, and the control board has detected that this loop is broken or the plug connection is lost. This is a safety-related fault that prevents the oven from operating normally until the circuit is restored.

It is not recommended to continue using the oven while this error is active. The door microswitch circuit is a safety monitoring system, and operating the oven without a confirmed door position signal could mask other unsafe conditions. The error should be diagnosed and resolved before returning the oven to regular use.

Repair costs depend on the root cause. If only the connector needs reseating, the cost is limited to a service call fee, typically in the range of $75 to $150.
