H37 indicates that the outdoor liquid pipe temperature sensor has been detected as open or short circuit continuously for 5 seconds. The sensor monitors refrigerant temperature at the outdoor liquid line, and when the control board cannot get a valid reading, it logs H37 and limits operation to cooling protection mode. This prevents potential system damage while alerting you to the fault.

When H37 is active, the unit enters cooling protection mode, which limits normal operation to reduce the risk of component damage. Running the system in this degraded state for an extended period is not recommended, as the unit cannot properly regulate based on accurate liquid line temperature data. It is best to address the fault promptly to restore full, safe operation.

Resetting the unit may temporarily clear the H37 code, but if the underlying fault such as a failed sensor or damaged wiring is still present, the error will return within seconds once the 5-second detection window elapses.
