Because the fault requires the signal to be stuck at a fixed voltage for 25 seconds before triggering, the fault condition causing it is persistent rather than momentary. Resetting is useful as a first step to confirm the error is still present, but it is not a substitute for diagnosing and correcting the sensor circuit fault.
