The fault points to a problem with water drainage, typically a restricted or kinked drain line.

The ice maker will not produce ice while this fault is active, but the refrigerator compartment in a combination unit will continue to operate normally. It is not harmful to leave the unit powered, but the drain issue should be addressed promptly to restore ice production and prevent water from backing up into the bin area.

If the fault is caused by a kinked or clogged drain line, the repair may cost little to nothing beyond your time to inspect and clear the line. If the P60 drain pump has failed and requires replacement, parts and labor costs can range from roughly $150 to $400 or more depending on your location and service provider. Diagnosing the drain line first before committing to pump replacement is the recommended approach.

Start by pouring about one gallon of water into the ice bin to confirm the P60 pump is triggering the shutdown. Then inspect the entire drain line for kinks, clogs, or improper routing that could be restricting water flow. Clear any obstructions, straighten any kinks, and verify the drain line is routed correctly without excessive uphill runs. If the drain line is clear and properly installed but the fault persists, the P60 pump itself may need to be inspected or replaced.
