Error code d:08 means the dishwasher has detected a motor speed sensor failure. The control board is not receiving a valid signal from the sensor that monitors wash pump motor speed. The cause is typically a faulty speed sensor or a problem in the wire harness connecting it to the control board. The dishwasher stops operation when this code appears to avoid running the motor under uncontrolled conditions.

The dishwasher will typically halt operation when d:08 is active, which is the intended behavior to protect the motor from running without speed feedback. You should not attempt to bypass or repeatedly reset the unit to continue running cycles until the underlying cause is repaired. Continued operation with a failed speed sensor could result in motor damage.

A reset may temporarily clear the d:08 code from the display, but the error will return if the underlying problem with the speed sensor or wire harness has not been repaired. Resetting does not fix the failed component. The correct approach is to run test P:04 and diagnose the sensor circuit before attempting further operation.
