You should not continue running the dishwasher until the cause of d:13 is identified. The thermal shutoff is a protective feature, and repeatedly cycling the appliance with a binding or overloaded motor can cause permanent damage to the motor windings or control board. Resolve the underlying cause before resuming normal use.

If the fix is simply removing a foreign object from the pump, there may be no parts cost, though a service call fee typically ranges from $75 to $150. If the circulation motor needs replacement, parts and labor combined generally range from $200 to $400 depending on the model. A motor control board replacement can fall in a similar range, so a proper diagnosis before ordering parts is important.

Start by checking for any foreign objects blocking the pump impeller at the bottom of the dishwasher tub.
