Resetting the dishwasher may temporarily clear the Er:12 code, but it will return if the underlying problem is not corrected. To reset, press and hold the Start button for several seconds or disconnect power for a few minutes. If the root cause, such as a blocked hose or a faulty pump, is not addressed, the error will reappear during the next drain cycle.

You should not continue running the dishwasher while Er:12 is active. The error means the unit was unable to drain, which can leave standing water inside the tub and potentially cause leaks or motor damage if the pump is forced to run again. Resolve the drainage issue before running another cycle.
