Bosch Dishwasher Error Code Er:15

Er:15 means the analog pressure sensor is producing a voltage signal outside the expected range. This code applies specifically to Bosch WFMC64 and WFXD84 models. The control board uses this sensor to monitor water level, and when the signal is invalid, the machine stops to prevent damage. The root cause is either a defective pressure sensor or a problem in the wire harness connecting it to the control board.

A power reset may temporarily clear the display, but the code will return if the underlying sensor or wiring fault has not been corrected. Because the control board checks the pressure sensor voltage continuously during operation, any ongoing fault will trigger Er:15 again as soon as a wash cycle begins. A lasting fix requires diagnosing and repairing the sensor or harness.

If only the wire harness connector needs cleaning or reseating, the repair may cost nothing beyond your time. A replacement pressure sensor typically costs anywhere from $20 to $80 for the part alone, depending on availability. If you hire a technician for diagnosis and the repair, total costs including labor commonly range from $100 to $250. Harness repairs that require splicing or a new harness section fall somewhere in the middle of that range.

Start by running the built-in diagnostic test P:8, which evaluates the pressure sensor circuit. Inspect the sensor connector for corrosion or looseness and trace the wire harness for any visible damage. If the harness is in good condition, the pressure sensor itself is likely defective and will need to be replaced. Reconnecting a loose connector sometimes clears the code without any parts replacement.

It is not recommended. The pressure sensor is responsible for monitoring water level inside the tub, and a faulty reading could lead to overfilling or running the pump without adequate water. Both conditions can cause water damage or harm to internal components. The machine should remain out of service until the sensor or harness issue is resolved.
