The pressure sensor has detected either excessively low pressure, often caused by insufficient water or a clogged filter, or excessively high pressure, typically caused by a defective circulation pump. When this fault occurs, the dishwasher exits the heating stage but continues the programme rather than shutting down completely.

Running the dishwasher with an active F9 fault is not recommended. The code indicates the circulation system is not performing correctly, which means dishes may not be cleaned properly and the pump could sustain further damage if it is running dry or under abnormal pressure conditions. Diagnose and resolve the fault before running additional cycles.

A reset may temporarily clear the F9 code and allow the dishwasher to run, but the fault will return if the underlying problem is not addressed. To reset, cancel the current programme and restart, or disconnect power for a few minutes. If F9 reappears promptly, the mechanical or sensor issue causing the fault must be identified and corrected before the error will stay cleared.
