The issue can stem from a loose connector, a damaged cable, or a failed board.

A power reset, such as unplugging the washer for a minute and plugging it back in, may temporarily clear the E6 display. However, if the underlying cause is a loose connector, damaged cable, or failing board, the error will return as soon as the machine tries to operate. A reset alone is not a fix, and the communication cable connection should be inspected to prevent recurring errors.
