Frigidaire Range Error Code F011

F011 means the control board has detected that one key on the keypad has been continuously pressed or held closed for 30 seconds or more. This is called a stuck key fault. It can be caused by a physical object resting on the panel, a spill, or a damaged keypad membrane. Pressing the Stop key after removing any obstruction will usually clear the code.

Pressing the Stop key is the recommended first step to clear F011 after resolving the stuck key condition. You can also cut power to the range at the circuit breaker for a few minutes to reset the control board. However, if the underlying cause, such as a damaged keypad, is not addressed, the code will return.

If the fault is caused by a spill or obstruction, there is no parts cost involved. If the membrane keypad needs to be replaced, parts typically range from around 30 dollars to over 100 dollars depending on the model, with additional labor costs if a technician is needed. A control board replacement, which is less common, can cost significantly more in both parts and labor.

Start by checking the control panel for anything in contact with the keypad, such as water, food residue, or an object leaning against it. Remove the obstruction, then press the Stop key to clear the fault. If the code returns without any visible cause, the membrane keypad assembly may have an internal short and will need to be replaced.

The F011 code is primarily a control input issue and is not a direct safety hazard in the way that a temperature sensor fault would be. However, a continuously stuck key could potentially trigger unintended operations on the control panel. It is a good idea to resolve the fault promptly and avoid using the range in an unattended state until the issue is corrected.
