F22 indicates a communication failure between the Oven User Interface Board and the Oven Relay Board. These two boards must exchange data continuously for the oven to operate. When that communication is interrupted, the range displays F22 and stops functioning normally. The fault can stem from loose connectors, damaged wiring, or a failed board.

A knowledgeable DIYer can handle the initial diagnostic steps safely with the power disconnected, including checking that all connectors between the UI Board and Relay Board are fully seated and testing the wiring harness for continuity. If those steps do not resolve the fault and a control board needs to be replaced, the repair requires comfort with disassembling the control panel area.
