GE Oven Error Code F4-E0

Meat probe shorted.

First step from the service manual

1. Disconnect power or unplug oven. 2. Disconnect meat probe and measure probe resistance (78kΩ at 60°F [16°C], 37kΩ at 90°F [32°C]). 3. If resistance is not valid replace probe. 4. Insert probe and check for a firm connection. 5. Check connection between jack and harness (in rear of oven).

1.1. Disconnect power or unplug oven. 2. Disconnect meat probe and measure probe resistance (78kΩ at 60°F [16°C], 37kΩ at 90°F [32°C]). 3. If resistance is not valid replace probe. 4. Insert probe and check for a firm connection. 5. Check connection between jack and harness (in rear of oven).

2.Measure door lock assembly resistance across the PTC terminals. Expected: ~200 ohms cold, rising sharply once energized.

3.Inspect strike and latch alignment. A warped door or misaligned strike prevents the switch stack from closing in the correct sequence.
