GE Oven Error Code F6-E2

The F6-E2 code means the oven's self-clean latch will not unlock. After a self-clean cycle, the control board expects to receive a signal confirming the door latch has returned to the unlocked position. When that confirmation does not arrive, the F6-E2 fault is triggered. The issue can involve the latch motor, the latch mechanism itself, or one of the switches that reports latch position to the control board.

You should not attempt another self-clean cycle until the latch problem is resolved, as the door may not lock properly, which is a safety requirement during high-temperature cleaning. Normal baking and cooking may still be possible if the door latches and closes correctly, but the latch fault should be addressed promptly to prevent further damage to the latch motor or control components.
