F8-E0 means the oven detected an over-temperature condition while the door was open or the door latch was not in the locked position, typically during a self-clean cycle. The control board requires confirmation from both the latch switch and door switch that the door is closed and secured before allowing the oven to reach self-clean temperatures. When those signals are missing or conflicting, the code is triggered. The most likely culprits are the latch assembly, latch motor, or one of the door-related switches.

Disconnecting power to the oven for a few minutes will clear the stored error code from the display. However, if the underlying issue with the latch assembly, latch motor, or door switches has not been corrected, the code will return the next time the self-clean cycle is initiated and the fault condition is detected again. A reset is useful for confirming whether the problem is intermittent, but it is not a fix.

Repair costs vary depending on which component has failed.
