F11 means the control board attempted to activate the drain pump but could not. The two main causes are a wiring or connection fault in the pump circuit, or a short-circuit failure of the pump driving triac on the control board. The machine will stop mid-cycle with water remaining in the drum until the fault is corrected.

You should not continue using the machine while F11 is active. The drum may be holding water that cannot drain, and running further cycles risks overflowing the machine or straining other components. Resolve the pump fault before resuming normal use.

Repair costs vary depending on the fault. If only a wiring connection needs reseating, costs may be minimal. A new drain pump typically falls in the range of 30 to 80 dollars for the part alone, plus labor if professionally fitted. Control board replacement or triac repair is generally more expensive, often ranging from 100 to 250 dollars or more depending on parts and labor rates in your area.

Some causes of F11 are DIY-accessible. You can check that the pump connector is fully seated, inspect the wiring loom for obvious damage, and test the pump resistance at connector pins 4 and 5, which should read around 170 ohms. If the board triac has failed, that repair requires electronics skills and is best left to a qualified technician.

Resetting the machine may temporarily clear the code, but F11 will return as soon as the machine tries to drain again if the underlying fault has not been repaired. A reset is useful only as part of diagnosis to confirm whether the fault is intermittent. Persistent F11 errors require physical inspection and repair.
