A power reset by unplugging the washer for a few minutes may temporarily clear the code if the fault was caused by a transient voltage fluctuation. However, if an underlying problem exists with the drive board or electrical supply, the E71 code will return once the washer attempts to run again. A reset alone is not a repair.
