The FH code on a Kenmore washer means "Flip Hoses." It indicates that the hot and cold water inlet hoses were connected to the wrong supply valves during installation. The washer detected that water temperatures entering through each inlet do not match what the control system expected. This is a configuration issue, not a hardware failure.

It is not recommended to continue using the washer while the FH code is active. Running cycles with reversed hoses means hot water will enter through the cold inlet and vice versa, which can affect wash performance, fabric care, and cycle temperature accuracy. Correct the hose connections before running additional loads.

Fixing the FH error code typically costs nothing if you do it yourself, since it only requires repositioning the existing hoses.
