Error code 48 indicates a fault with the heat exchanger temperature sensor B in the outdoor unit. The control board has detected that the sensor's value is abnormal, either open circuit or short circuit. The system will not operate normally until this fault is resolved. The diagnostic starting point is checking the sensor's wiring connection at the PCB and testing the sensor's resistance value.

It is not recommended to attempt to bypass or ignore this fault. The heat exchanger temperature sensor B plays a role in protecting the system from overheating and other abnormal operating conditions.
