E471 indicates an error related to the INV1 Data Flash, which is the non-volatile memory on the primary inverter drive board. This memory stores the operating parameters and firmware configuration that the inverter needs to control the compressor. When this memory cannot be read or verified, the system shuts down the compressor and displays E471. Resolving it typically requires inspecting or replacing the inverter PCB.

The unit will not operate the compressor while E471 is active, so it cannot provide cooling. The fault is a protective lockout designed to prevent the inverter from running in an undefined state. You should not attempt to override or bypass this error, as doing so could cause further damage to the compressor or inverter board.

Repair costs depend on whether the inverter board needs to be replaced or if the issue can be resolved through connection checks alone.
