A reset may temporarily clear the error code, but if the underlying cause is not resolved, the code will return once the control board detects the fan motor fault again. Resetting is useful to confirm whether the fault is intermittent, but it is not a substitute for diagnosing and correcting the wiring, obstruction, or motor issue causing the error.

If the fix involves clearing an obstruction or reseating a loose connector, there may be no parts cost at all.
