This error means the evaporator temperature sensor inside the Opti zone compartment has stopped working correctly due to a cut wire, short circuit, or faulty connection. The control board cannot receive a valid temperature signal from that sensor, so it flags the fault. On the display, you will see all LEDs lit up except the MEAT OPTI LED, which is the specific indicator for this error.

The refrigerator may continue to operate, but the Opti zone compartment will not be temperature-controlled accurately without a working sensor. Food stored in that section, particularly meat or other perishables, may not be kept at the correct temperature, creating a food safety risk. It is best to avoid relying on the Opti zone for sensitive items until the issue is resolved.

A power reset may temporarily clear the error from the display, but if the underlying problem with the sensor wiring or sensor itself has not been repaired, the code will return. The fault needs to be diagnosed and the physical cause corrected before the error will clear permanently.

Start by pressing and holding the Freeze temp control button and the Super freezing button together for at least one second to confirm the error code on the display. If the wiring appears intact, check the connector for corrosion or poor seating. If wiring and connectors are in good condition, the sensor itself may need to be replaced.
