The 14C code on an LG washer signals a water supply error for the upper washer unit. It means the control system has detected that water is not being delivered to the upper drum as expected. The most common causes are a disconnected wire at the water inlet valve, a failed inlet valve, freezing in cold conditions, or a fault in the main control board.

A reset may temporarily clear the 14C code from the display, but it will return as soon as you run a cycle if the underlying problem is not resolved. The fault condition, whether a disconnected wire, failed valve, or frozen line, must be corrected before the error will stay cleared permanently.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If the issue is simply a loose wire connection, you may have no parts cost at all.
