It means the washer has detected a fault in the push button sensor circuitry for the upper drum's control interface. This error is specific to LG dual-drum or combo washer configurations that have an independent upper unit.

A reset may temporarily clear the error display, but if the underlying wiring or component fault is still present, the code will return. Resetting is worth trying after reseating wire connections, but it is not a permanent fix on its own. The root cause must be addressed to prevent the error from recurring.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If the fix is simply reseating a loose wire connector, costs may be limited to a service call fee, typically in the range of $75 to $150. If a MEMS push button assembly or control board needs replacement, parts and labor combined could range from $150 to $400 or more depending on local labor rates and parts availability.
