LG Washer Error Code 2E

The 2E code on an LG washer indicates a power supply error. The washer has detected that the voltage being supplied is either too low or too high for normal operation. It can also be triggered by a momentary voltage drop of up to 10V caused by a long or undersized supply wire or extension cord. In some cases, a faulty main control board can produce this code even when the supply voltage is acceptable.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer while the 2E error is active. Persistent undervoltage or overvoltage conditions can damage the motor, control electronics, and other components over time. Stop using the appliance until the power supply issue has been diagnosed and corrected.

Repair costs depend on the root cause. If the fix involves correcting the outlet or household wiring, electrician fees typically range from $75 to $250 or more depending on the scope of work. If the main PBA needs to be replaced, parts and labor combined can range from $150 to $400 or higher, depending on the specific model and your local labor rates.
