The 9E1 code means the washer has detected that the incoming supply voltage is outside its safe operating range, either at or below 176V or at or above 287V. The machine pauses automatically to protect its electronic components. It will resume on its own once line voltage returns to between 187V and 276V. This is typically caused by a power supply issue in the home or from the utility, not a washer defect.

The washer pauses itself specifically to prevent damage from abnormal voltage, so continuing to force operation during a voltage fault is not advisable. Allow the machine to remain paused until voltage stabilizes.
