DOOR Er means the washer detected that the lid was opened during an active washing, rinsing, or spin cycle, or during a delay finish program. The machine stops operation as a safety precaution. In most cases, closing the lid and restarting the cycle resolves the error. If the error returns with the lid properly closed, the lid switch or its wiring may need inspection.

The washer will not operate while the DOOR Er is active, which is intentional. The machine stops the cycle to prevent access to moving parts, particularly the spinning drum. Do not attempt to bypass the lid switch to force the machine to run, as this removes an important safety protection.

If the fix is simply closing the lid, there is no cost involved.
