The sensor runs an initial calibration calculation at the start of a cycle, and E-34 appears when that calculated value falls outside an acceptable range by more than plus or minus 28 in hexadecimal units. This typically points to a physical issue such as a misaligned turntable or debris on the sensor rather than an immediate electrical failure.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer while E-34 is active. The weight sensor is used to detect load balance conditions during the spin cycle, and operating without accurate sensor data could lead to excessive vibration or mechanical stress on the drum assembly. Resolve the error before resuming normal use.

If the problem is a misaligned turntable or debris on the sensor, the repair cost is minimal since it requires only cleaning or repositioning with no parts needed.
