Dry heater malfunction: after 10 minutes of heater operation, fan housing temperature is below 35°C (low-temp dry) or 50°C (other dry modes) and has not risen more than 5°C from start temperature, continuously for 8 seconds or more (dry heater failure, thermostat open).

From Service Manual 598074, p.46:
1.Power off
2.Measure the heating element resistance across the terminals with the leads removed. Expected: 11 to 13 ohms.
3.Verify the thermal fuse and high-limit thermostat show continuity. An open safety in series with the element produces a no-heat fault even when the element tests good.
