LG Washer Error Code LE2

The LE2 code means the washer has detected a loss of electrical continuity in the compressor circuit. This is caused by a disconnected compressor connector, a contact fault within that connector, or an open condition in the wiring harness between the compressor and the controller. The washer cannot operate the compressor until the connection is restored.

A reset may temporarily clear the error code from the display, but it will not resolve the underlying wiring or connection fault. The LE2 code will return as soon as the washer attempts to operate the compressor again. The physical connection issue must be identified and corrected for the error to stay cleared.

If the fix is simply reseating a loose connector, there is no parts cost and only your time is involved. If a connector, terminals, or a section of wiring harness needs replacement, parts costs typically range from around $15 to $80 depending on the specific components required. Start by locating the compressor connector and firmly reseating it to ensure it is fully engaged. If the error returns, inspect the connector terminals for corrosion or damaged pins and clean or replace them as needed. If the connector appears sound, use a multimeter to test the wiring harness for continuity and replace any wire or harness segment that shows an open circuit.

You should not continue running the washer while the LE2 error is active. The compressor cannot function correctly with an open or intermittent circuit, and attempting to operate the machine may result in incomplete cycles or further electrical damage to the harness or connector. Address the connection fault before resuming use.
