TC2 on an LG washer indicates a dry heater temperature sensor check error. The control board is not receiving a valid signal from the dry condensing temperature sensor. This can be caused by a loose connector, a failed sensor, damaged wiring, a main PCB fault, or freezing temperatures in the installation area.

You should not continue running drying cycles while TC2 is active, as the machine cannot properly monitor temperature in the drying system. Continuing to operate it without a functioning temperature sensor could pose an overheating risk. Wash-only cycles may be unaffected, but drying functions should be avoided until the fault is resolved.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If it is only a connector issue, there may be no parts cost and just a service call fee, which typically ranges from $75 to $150.
