The WATER SUPPLY error means the washer was unable to fill to the selected water level within 60 minutes, or the water level pressure sensor detected no frequency change during filling. It can occur during the initial wash fill, the rinse cycle, or when the machine tries to correct an unbalanced load by adding water. The issue can stem from the external water supply, the inlet valve, or the internal pressure sensor.

Pressing the POWER key is the recommended first step and can clear the error if it was caused by a temporary drop in household water pressure or a momentary supply interruption. However, if the underlying cause such as a clogged screen, closed valve, or faulty component is not addressed, the error will return once the next cycle starts and the machine again fails to fill within the time limit.

If the fix is simply opening a supply valve or clearing clogged inlet screens, there may be little to no cost involved. Replacing a water inlet valve typically involves parts costs in the range of $25 to $80 depending on the model, plus labor if a technician is hired. A faulty pressure sensor replacement is generally in a similar parts cost range, with total repair costs including labor often falling between $100 and $250.

Start by pressing the POWER key to reset the machine, then verify that both hot and cold water faucets behind the washer are fully open. Check the inlet hoses for kinks and inspect the small mesh screens inside the inlet valve connections for sediment buildup. If flow is confirmed but the error persists, the water inlet valve or pressure sensor may need to be tested and replaced.

The washer will stop the cycle when this error occurs, so there is no immediate safety hazard to the machine or home. However, you should not attempt to bypass the error and force a cycle, as running the drum without adequate water can stress the motor and pump components. Diagnose and resolve the water supply issue before resuming normal use.
