The control board monitors the fill level through a pressure sensor, and if the target level is not detected in time, the cycle stops and WS is displayed. This is most often caused by a water supply issue, a clogged inlet filter, or a faulty inlet valve.

You should not attempt to run a cycle while the WS error is active. The code indicates the tub did not fill properly, meaning the washer could run without enough water to adequately clean clothes or properly balance the drum. Resolve the underlying water supply or valve issue before using the machine again.

If the fix is simply opening a faucet or cleaning a filter screen, there is no parts cost and only your time is involved. Replacing a water inlet valve typically costs between $25 and $80 for the part, plus labor if a technician is used. A faulty water level pressure sensor is generally in a similar price range.
