Basic manual microwave functions may still operate when E-46 is active, but any sensor-based or automatic cooking programs will not function correctly. Continuing to use the appliance in manual mode for simple heating tasks is generally low risk, but the underlying sensor fault should be diagnosed and resolved before relying on automatic cooking features.
