What this code means
Oven sensor or over-temperature failure — includes oven sensor opened (E0), oven sensor shorted (E1), BAKE range over temp (E2), or CLEAN range over temp (E3).
First step from the service manual
Measure sensor value between connector pins: 1000 Ω at 32°F to 2697 Ω at 900°F (room temperature approx. 1080 Ω). If measurement does not correlate to real temperature, disconnect power and replace sensor. Also measure from sensor connector to sensor casing for possible short. Trace wires and connectors. Disconnect power longer than 30 seconds, re-apply and press BAKE and START/ENTER, observe for longer than 1 minute. If failure remains, replace control.
Next steps: diagnose the root cause
Power cycle the unit and see if the code returns. If it does, the fault is persistent and requires diagnosis.
