F6E0 means the ACU (Indigo control board) lost communication with the HMI-Central/UI board in the control panel assembly. These two boards must exchange data continuously for the oven to operate. When that communication link breaks, the ACU logs F6E0 and shuts down normal operation. The fault points to either a wiring harness issue or a failed board on one end of the connection.

In most cases, the oven will not function while F6E0 is active because the ACU disables operation when it loses communication with the UI board. Surface burners on a gas range with standing pilots may still light manually, but any electronically controlled function will be unavailable. Do not attempt to bypass the fault or use an oven that is not responding predictably to controls, as unintended heating behavior is a safety risk.

A power cycle will clear the stored code temporarily, and if the fault was caused by a one-time voltage spike or transient glitch, it may not return. However, if there is an underlying wiring or board problem, F6E0 will reappear shortly after restoring power. Use a power cycle as a quick first check, but follow it with a proper inspection of the communication harness between the UI board and the ACU if the code comes back.

Start by unplugging the range, then open the control panel and inspect the wiring harness connecting the HMI-Central/UI board to the ACU. Check each connector for secure seating and test the harness for continuity. If the harness is intact, reseat all connectors and restore power to see if the code clears. If it returns, one of the two boards likely needs replacement, and a multimeter and wiring diagram will help pinpoint which one is not communicating.
